Traveling During COVID-19: Here is What You Need to Know

Before You Travel, Consider this:

  • Check whether or not COVID-19 is spreading in your area. If there are still more cases, the chances are you’ll get infected during travel. If you get infected, you are risking the health of your friends and family as well.
  • Check if your travel destination has some restrictions for travelers. Check related websites and read their COVID-19 safety precautions. Make sure to follow them.

Tips to Protect Yourself and Others from COVID-19 During Traveling

Once you are sure you can safely travel, make sure to take some steps during travel to keep protected from the virus.

1.Maintain Safe Distance

It is highly recommended that you maintain a safe distance of at least 6ft from other people. If someone within 6ft is coronavirus positive, the chances are you can also catch the virus.

Make sure you adhere to all the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP’s)  to keep yourself and others safe from COVID-19.

2.Make Sure to Wear KN95 Masks

When we speak about masks, most people think of the standard surgical masks or cloth masks. But when trying to escape from any virus responsible for COVID-19, we need to step up our game.

Did you know that the virus's size is 80–220 nm in size, which is microscopic, and a naked eye cannot see it?

Surgical masks and cloth masks will not be enough if you want to stay safe. In such situations, you will need a KN95 mask that will keep you safe from most of the particles responsible for COVID-19.

Here's an experiment for you: Light up a candle, wear a surgical mask, try blowing, and see if the candle goes off. Repeat the same procedure with the other two masks as well.

3.Use a Sanitizer to Keep Yourself Germ-Free

Think about it- you leave from one airport after many security checks, then sit in a plane with 100s of other people. Many will touch the same surfaces and a COVID-19 positive might be one of them.

So, make sure to sanitize your hands every time you touch a surface or object during your travel.

4.Use Rechargeable UV Sterilizer Light Tube

World Health Organization released several precautionary measures for people to stay safe from COVID-19- namely washing hands frequently, using masks, staying 6 ft away.

But there is one thing no safety precaution could eliminate, and that is AIR. We cannot stop breathing even for a second and reports show that coronavirus can be found in the air.

This is a rechargeable UV sterilizer light tube comes in handy. It will sterilize the air by killing germs, eliminating odor, thus making the air quality much better in a few minutes.

So, make sure to keep this item with you when traveling.

The sooner you realize, the better it is that you accept the circumstances of COVID-19 and adapt to a new, safer, and healthier lifestyle.

Stay Safe and Healthy!
